2/15/2009, Sunday, 3-5pm - BJJ workshop class with Mestre Oscar de Souza Neto (Asle BJJ Black Belt) @ 2/f Judo Dojo, Blue Eagle Gym, ADMU, Katipunan Ave., Loyola Heights, Quezon City.

Asle BJJ is the same team as the famous Ronaldo "Jacare" de Souza! Everyone is invited regardless of affiliation to train and roll. Cost is 500 per head only. Please bring Gi and No Gi attire.

Self-Defense Seminar at UST

Ali Sulit was invited by the organizers of UST's Alternative Class Program to conduct a seminar. The participants were treated to a self-defense seminar using techniques from Judo and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. The seminar covered basic self defense moves and concepts on defending against single assailants whether unarmed or armed with a knife or a gun.

Mike Fowler Grappling Workshop Seminar Report

Thank you to all those who were able to attend the Mike Fowler workshop seminar yesterday night at the ADMU College Covered Courts. The workshop touched on takedowns and submission techniques catering to both Judo and Jiu-jitsu stylists.

Team VPF, UP Judo, Newbreed BJJ, Ateneo Judo Association, YACAP (Youth Athletics Christian Advancement Program) Foundation, Hybrid Yawyan and Gracie Barra Philippines were all represented, amounting to a total of over 40 participants!


It was great to see members of different teams get on the same mat to learn from an accomplished competition grappler such as Mike Fowler. We would also like to make special thanks to Coach Wowel Jingco of UP Judo and Jaime Sin of K-1 Extreme Fight Shop.

Mike Fowler and the organizers of the workshop seminar value your support of our events. Your continued involvement will allow us to hold similar events in the future. Again, thank you for being so willing to help speed up the growth of the sport in the Philippines!!!

ROLLAPALOOZA.TV: MIKE FOWLER GRAPPLING WORKSHOP

We are very happy to announce that Mike Fowler has agreed to hold a very special discount workshop on November 10, 2008 at the College Covered Courts, Ateneo de Manila University. As always, registration to the workshop is open to all teams and styles. Start time is at 6PM.

The cost of the one-time discount workshop/seminar will be 500 pesos only. The focus of the workshop will be takedowns and submissions catering to both Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Judo competitors. This is Mike's way of giving back to the community for the over-whelming support of all teams at the Rollapalooza and Dominacao Absoluta tournaments.
